Address of serviceFor the purpose of service of an election petition on the respondents, the petitioner shall furnish the Secretary with the address of the respondents’ abode or the addresses of places where personal service can be effected on the respondents.
i. This paragraph seeks to ensure that the Registry of the Tribunal or Court does not encounter difficulties in delivering the filed copies of an Election Petition to the Respondent and that the Petition is not delivered to any other person other than the Respondent personally.
ii.
The paragraph makes it mandatory for the Petitioner to furnish the Secretary of the Tribunal
or Court with a specific address where personal service of the Petition can be easily
effected
on the Respondent.
