Section 49
Separate queues for men and womenThe Presiding officer shall separate the queue between men and women if in that area of the country the culture is such that it does not permit the mingling of men and women in the same queue.
The Electoral Act takes into cognizance cultural and religious sensitivities and permits a separate queue for men and women where the practice is not to mix both genders in a public activity.
