Section 55
Personal attendanceNo voter shall record his or her vote otherwise than by personally attending at the polling unit or voting centres and recording his or her vote in the manner prescribed by the Commission.
This section mandates voters to vote in person in the manner prescribed by INEC. Thus, voters are not allowed to record their attendance or vote by taking a picture of their ballot paper or a recording of their vote in progress. This reinforces provisions on secrecy of the vote as contained in Section 50 (1) .
