PLAC ELECTORAL ACT APP USER GUIDE
PLAC Electoral Act App contains the complete text of the Nigerian Electoral Act passed in 2022. It contains simplified explanations for every section of the law, relevant court decisions that interpret the provisions and demonstrate its practical application, as well as reference to additional reading material for researchers. The objective is to disseminate the provisions of the law to the public and ensure that citizens have it in a readily accessible format.
HOW TO USE
Access is open to all users for viewing, sharing, printing and interacting across social media
platforms. No registration or subscription is required as of now. Internet access is however required to
access the contents of the App.
For web version: Enter page URL: https://electoralact2022.placbillstrack.org/ on your address bar and it will take you straight to the home page.
For mobile version: Download the App on Google Play or Apple store. The home page shows the Act arranged in Parts and Sections just like the hard copy of the Act. The Schedules to the Act and Forms are also incorporated. Click on any of the sections on the left side to open the content for each section.
Explanatory notes, case law and additional resources appear on the lower half of each page below the content. Click on each tab to open. Use the buttons below the page to go forward one section or go back one section
A search bar is available to search for key words in the contents of the Act. To go back to the home page, click the PLAC Logo at any point and you will be presented with the main operation screen (MOS).
Special features appear on the right side panel. These include: Font size, Text-to-speech, Light/Dark mode, Print, Bookmark, and Social Media Share. Don’t forget to rate the App or leave a review on the App Store!
